About

Since my husband and I have become empty nester’s we have come to learn how much different life can be. After having raised a blended family with 7 children, it took a little time to learn how to cook for two. September now,  is just the month in which my birthday comes, not the dreaded circus it used to be over back-to-school clothing and supply shopping. Our time is our own. In the last four years  I have learned that I like socializing. Something I had little time for when the kids were younger. I’ve made friends on pen pal sites and have been writing to steady pen friends for quite a few years now. I’m getting to know my neighbors and I’ve joined a few groups to facilitate my creative sides such as knitting and quilt making. I love writing, books, music, art, architecture, sculptures, fountains, gardening, parachute men, strawberry applesauce and my favorite color is periwinkle. I can laugh at myself where I couldn’t before, coloring outside the lines no longer bothers me and I feel right at home with those who misstep while marching to the beat of their own drum. I easily find inspiration in the works of others, I can be instantly motivated by a worthwhile quote and I’ve come to grips with the fact that I can only strive for perfection though I will never achieve it in this life. Thanks for stopping by.
